Recently, the owners of Internet domains containing the word Nikon started receiving letters from Nikon Polska, asking them to stop using the name of Nikon and change their domains name. This fact is even more interesting as also those internet sites which have cooperated smoothly with the Nikon company for several years have got such messages . . . During the last several years there have been a lot of complaints about the quality of the Nikon customer service. The problem must have been serious indeed because in autumn 2009 the discontent of the Nikon users reached a peak as...

Hopefully you're not the sort to risk things by gunning it when the light turns yellow, pushing your (and our) luck, saving yourself a few seconds on the race to the next intersection, and sneering red light cameras. Maybe if you knew the kind of hardware in there you'd have more respect: Nikon's D2X digital SLR. We had no idea there were pro-level shooters in there, but a New York City couple certainly did, running around the city with a cherry picker and pilfering 22 of the things, all sold at pawn shops for a total of $88,000 $6,600 --...

They seem pretty similar from what I've read, but there is a $450 price difference.(I've also looked into the Canon Rebel, but I didn't like the body of the camera.) The price is important to me, but since I plan on owning this camera for years, it is not my biggest priority. I am more concerned with great shots, fast response, and...

TOKYO : Japan's Konica Minolta, one of the world's leading photographic equipment manufacturers, said on Thursday it would stop making all cameras because the market had become too competitive. The company plans to slash 3,700 jobs or about 11 percent of its global workforce by 2007 under a restructuring package that will also see part of its business making high-end digital cameras sold off to Sony. Konica Minolta will also gradually stop making camera film by 2007 to focus on its more profitable optics and medical imaging activities. "In today's era of digital cameras... it became difficult to timely...

Reshaping Nikon's Film Camera Assortment As the film camera market shrinks and the popularity of compact digital cameras increases, demand for products that offer advanced features and extra value is growing rapidly. Additionally, the demand for high performance digital SLR cameras is also steadily increasing as customers shift from film SLRs or upgrade from compact digital cameras. With film cameras accounting for an ever smaller percentage of Nikon's total sales volume, the company has decided to concentrate its vast resources toward those business categories that continue to demonstrate the strongest growth. Consequently, as Nikon focuses more on the digital camera...
